Totally agree with Richard that the Parisienne Agency is the best property show. I feel really invested in what this family is doing. The cattiness of those other shows drives me crazy, but when this family have disagreements you can see how badly it affects them emotionally because they're not just coworkers. Excellent.

I've been trying to pitch "Law & Order: Outer Space" for 30 years. My friends always said their favourite Star Treks were when one of the crew were put on trial for breaking some other planet's law - you had crazy costumes, power dynamics, philosophicai arguments with stakes, great stuff.

Yes The Souvenir part 2 is better than the first one but I don't think it can be enjoyed without having seen The Souvenir. So much of what is brilliant about it is playing off what happens in the first film.

not sure that Dad TV is necessarily for dads or even men. In my household, my partner (female) and her daughter absolutely love Yellow Stone. Tried it myself and thought it was a load of tripes....go figure. It seems to be a recurring theme amongst people I know. More women seem to be attracted to these shows than men. They all love NYPD Blue, Chicago Fire, House, etc...Must all that rugged masculinity.

Just when I think - here we go they are about to make a duff episode about a naff subject might give this a miss soon - the dynamic duo do it again and ‘pull you back in’. Genius ‘show’. (Oh no I’m worrying I’m gonna have dreams about Marina dressed as Batman now……)

I was unaware of this podcast until the furor around the fossil fuel funding. I have always kind of liked Marina and Richard, all very witty and comfortably upper-middle class. But this podcast is absolutely dire, what an embarrassment, just so smug and cringe. As are Marina's complacent and whiny views on politics and change.

Sister Act 2 would be top of my list of sequels better than the original. The original is good but the sequel is great.

Logistics planners have to be amazing to plan how to get each venue set up and what the minimum number of complete sets of equipment that requires. I find it a fascinating challenge - but there's no way I could do it! The teams of people responsible for the packing, moving and unpacking are equally amazing, because they could stuff the whole operation up if they make a serious mistake. The concert tour logistics sound very similar to the way F1 teams move around from circuit to circuit. With F1 there's also multiple complete sets of equipment moving around the globe by ship, lorry or plane - and often not following the race calendar, but sometimes a set will just get shipped off, literally on a ship, to the next place it'll be used - in 6 months time, so it sits in storage, but it's cheaper that way.

On the topic of product placement, there was one shot in the latest US Godzilla film which shows a car like a commercial, it's comically bad. On the flip side, when it's obvious they didn't get clearance for a product, and it says "conk" instead of coke or whatever it's distracting.

I was listening to a different podcast episode with these two, and Marina was quite the motor mouth. I need to watch the UA-cam version and slow down the speed. Always informative.
